About Spirited Fem

Some things start with a spark. Spirited Fem started on July 4th, 2024 — Independence Day. Fitting, really.

I'm Amanda, the woman behind Spirited Fem. I'm an artist, a feminist, and someone who has spent a lifetime watching women — including myself — navigate a world that still asks us to be smaller, quieter and more manageable than we actually are.

I started Spirited Fem because I wanted to make art that means something. Not generic prints for faceless platforms, but designs that speak directly to the experiences of women who are done apologising for taking up space. Designs that start conversations, raise eyebrows, and occasionally make you snort-laugh in public.

I believe in equality — genuinely, completely, on every level. Legally, professionally, physically, emotionally. I believe women should be able to move through the world without constantly calculating their own safety. I believe the systems that keep women silent are real, and I believe they can be challenged — one conversation, one design, one t-shirt at a time.

Is that ambitious? Absolutely. But somebody has to do it, and I'd rather it be someone who actually means it.

Every Spirited Fem design is created with purpose — some shout, some raise an eyebrow, some make you laugh, some make you think. All of them are made for women who are done being quiet about the things that matter.
